When the walls ...

Tomorrow's the day, when the grand old arena comes down to make way for ... I'm guessing something to do with shopping.

This'll be the 3rd year in a row where we've had an implosion event in town. Last year, it was an old warehouse that was the continual target of arsons. The year before, it was ... what was it ... some place in St. Boniface.

Wow, I guess they don't need the arena any more seeing as sports has left Winnipeg.

Hopefully they didn't implode St Boniface Cathedral...

Well - the rationale is we have a brand new arena downtown. It's sponsored by MTS, so it's been nicknamed the phone booth.

BTW - Sunday's spectacle turned into a marathon because some charges would not go off. In the end, they ended up stringing some cable around it and pulling it over. Think about that; now think about how often you sat up in the nose-bleeds.

I read that it took them over 4 hours to demolish the barn. I believe the demise of the Jets took less time.
